About Course

The Level 3 Diploma in Introduction to Web Development provides a comprehensive overview of web development, equipping learners with the skills to plan, develop, test, and launch a website. Students will gain a strong understanding of user engagement and the integration of databases into websites.

This qualification serves as a foundation for those wishing to pursue further studies in fields such as computer science, information systems, and digital media. It ensures learners develop up-to-date competencies aligned with industry standards, preparing them to meet the demands of the digital sector.

The program offers integrated learning in areas such as computing mathematics, cyber security, digital technologies, and emerging technologies.

The Level 3 Diploma is part of the ATHE Level 3 suite of qualifications, known as the International Access Programme (IAP). Learners have the option to study one or more qualifications within this suite.

Delivery Mode

This qualification can be delivered either in the classroom, via distance learning or blended.

Qualifications

For learners who have recently been in education or training the entry profile is likely to include one of the following:

  • 5 or more GCSEs at grades C and above or Grade 4 and above
  • other related level 2 subjects
  • other equivalent international qualifications

Language

For those whom English is not their first language we recommend the following standards of proficiency in English language skills or an approved equivalent for this qualification:

  • IELTs 5.5
  • Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) B2
  • Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 162 or above
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic 42-49
